[MISSING] AI Film Awards Cannes 2026 본선 진출작

이번 프로젝트는 스튜디오 에임의 두 번째 오리지널 AI 필름, 'MISSING'입니다.

어느 날 아이가 사라지고, 거리 곳곳에 실종 전단이 붙습니다. 남겨진 부모는 아이의 사진을 끌어안은 채 하루하루를 버텨냅니다. 그러던 어느 저녁, 아이는 놀이터 그네 위로 돌아옵니다. 하지만 기다림 끝에 마주한 아이는 어딘가 낯설고, 아이가 남긴 그림과 사소한 행동들은 부모의 마음에 조용한 균열을 만들어 갑니다.

'MISSING'은 잃어버린 것을 되찾는 이야기처럼 시작해, 되찾았다고 믿는 순간 찾아오는 불안을 따라갑니다. 사랑하는 사람을 다시 만났을 때, 우리는 정말 그 사람을 알아볼 수 있을까요. 영상은 이 질문을 대사로 설명하기보다 인물의 표정과 공기로 전하는 데 집중했습니다.

색감은 전체적으로 채도를 낮춘 차분한 톤으로 설계했습니다. 비 내린 거리의 회색빛, 어두운 거실에 스며드는 흐린 창빛, 스탠드 조명 아래 드러나는 아이의 그림, 해 질 녘 보랏빛으로 물든 하늘이 이어집니다. 따뜻함과 서늘함이 한 화면 안에 공존하도록 빛을 쌓아, 끝까지 시선을 놓기 어려운 긴장감을 만들었습니다.

이번 작품은 오렌지필름과 함께 작업했으며, 그 여정은 AI Film Awards Cannes 2026 본선 진출이라는 뜻깊은 결과로 이어졌습니다.

Hello, this is STUDIO aim.
This project is 'MISSING,' STUDIO aim's second original AI film.

One day, a child disappears, and missing posters go up across the streets. His parents hold on to his photograph, enduring one day at a time. Then, one evening, the boy returns, sitting on a playground swing. Yet the child they meet after the long wait feels somehow unfamiliar, and the drawings he leaves behind and his small, quiet gestures begin to open a silent crack in his parents' hearts.

'MISSING' begins like a story of finding what was lost, then follows the unease that arrives the moment we believe it has been found. When we meet someone we love again, can we truly recognize them? Rather than explaining this question through dialogue, the film focuses on conveying it through the characters' expressions and the atmosphere around them.

The color palette was designed in a calm, desaturated tone. The gray of rain-soaked streets, the pale window light seeping into a dim living room, a child's drawings revealed under a desk lamp, and a sky tinted violet at dusk follow one another. Light was layered so that warmth and chill coexist within a single frame, building a tension that is hard to look away from until the very end.

This film was created in collaboration with Orange Film, and the journey led to a meaningful milestone: being selected as a finalist at the AI Film Awards Cannes 2026.
